Rooted in Resilience: Celebrating AANHPI Heritage Month 2025
In celebration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month 2025, Attollo is proud to unveil a campaign rooted in legacy, artistry, and enduring cultural strength. This year’s theme — A Legacy of Leadership and Resilience — isn’t just a statement; it’s a framework for how we reflect, design, and uplift.
From the shape of a letter to the hue of a backdrop, every visual decision this year tells a deeper story. The 2025 AANHPI Heritage Month campaign was crafted to be more than representational. It’s reverent and modern. It honors the past while making room for new narratives. It’s culture in motion — and design with intention.
Designed by the Community, for the Community
Typography is often the quiet hero of visual storytelling. For AANHPI’25, it’s anything but silent.
We intentionally selected typefaces created by Asian designers — including Akira Kobayashi, Ryota Doi, Yukihiro Nakamura, and Liam Andrew Cura — to ensure the visual language reflects the same diversity and excellence as the community being celebrated. The bold, uppercase forms of Shorai Sans and AS Station Display don’t just command attention; they embody the clarity, confidence, and visibility that AANHPI individuals continue to fight for.
Each name, each headline, each block of text becomes a declaration: We are here, we are proud, and our stories deserve to be seen and read with reverence.
A Palette That Paints Cultural Memory
Color is not decoration. It’s heritage. It’s emotion. It’s memory.
This year’s color palette is a reflection of that truth. Each shade was chosen not for trend, but for meaning:
Pacific Jade: A symbol of wisdom, balance, and deep cultural roots.
Resilience Red: Evoking strength and the generational fight for justice and belonging.
Ancestral Orchid: A nod to storytelling, tradition, and the quiet grace of perseverance.
Mango Gold: Bursting with joy, movement, and the celebratory spirit of AANHPI communities.
Rice Field Light and Canvas Cream: Soft tones that honor labor, humility, and the blank slate of possibility.
In a design system where every hue holds history, color becomes not just a backdrop — but a brushstroke of ancestral tribute.
Patterns that Transcend Borders
Across the campaign, you’ll find recurring motifs — not pulled from a single culture, but interwoven across many.
The Petal Pattern speaks to harmony and growth.
The Maze Pattern, inspired by Chinese fretwork, represents legacy and continuity.
The Rising Wave draws on Pacific Islander movement and migration.
The Geometric Weave symbolizes unity across difference — an apt metaphor for the interconnectedness of the AANHPI diaspora.
These motifs appear in layered backdrops and story frames, quiet but ever-present — like the traditions passed through generations.

Stickers with Storylines
This year also marks the debut of our AANHPI Month sticker collection — bold, expressive, and deeply rooted in cultural symbolism. These aren’t just aesthetic embellishments. Each design tells a story.
From the swirling Rising Wave—inspired by island movement, celebration, and migration—to the tightly woven geometric patterns that reflect interconnected histories, every sticker is a miniature tribute to the themes of heritage and identity.
Some designs tap into universally recognizable icons of AANHPI pride — such as chopsticks, hibiscus blooms, or sakura petals — while others lean on abstract visual language pulled from traditional fabrics, family crests, and folklore motifs. The use of texture, layering, and culturally inspired geometry ensures that even the smallest assets carry a weight of intention.
Most of the designs will be available on a collectible sticker sheet, making them perfect for everyday expression — whether on a notebook, laptop, or water bottle. However, two standout designs — “AANHPI HERITAGE” and “Rooted in Culture” — will be released in a larger format, produced in very limited quantities. These special editions are meant to feel like art pieces — bolder in scale, more intentional in placement, and a proud, visible tribute to the month’s legacy.
As these stickers begin to circulate, they’ll do more than decorate surfaces — they’ll spark conversation, reflection, and pride in where we come from and where we’re going.
Storytelling in Every Frame
At the heart of AANHPI’25 is storytelling — and this year, it shows up boldly in every post, portrait, and pixel.
Portraiture is the anchor of our campaign, captured in full color and full confidence. Each subject featured this month is shown not just as a face, but as a living legacy. Paired with duotone backdrops inspired by AANHPI textiles and traditions, these images ground modern identity in deep ancestral roots. The layered compositions, combining culturally inspired patterns with clean structure, allow each story to shine with both individuality and collective resonance.
But our visuals go beyond the square frame. Every week on Instagram, our in-feed posts explore a new facet of AANHPI heritage, using art direction as a lens for education. This isn’t just content — it’s cultural curriculum, designed for scrolls, shares, and conversations.
Week 1: Culture
We open by exploring the rituals that shape identity across generations and borders.
Week 2: Entertainment
From classic icons to rising stars, we spotlight the entertainers whose presence on stage and screen shifted the narrative for what AANHPI representation can be.
Week 3: Cuisine
A celebration of food as culture, family, and resistance — from beloved dishes passed down over generations to contemporary culinary fusions that reflect diaspora joy.
Week 4: Advocacy + Activism
A look at the changemakers who’ve fought — and still fight — for equity, visibility, and justice within and beyond AANHPI communities.
Each post is wrapped in thoughtful visuals and bold, declarative type — always inviting the viewer to learn, connect, and reflect.
To complement these educational spotlights, we’re also launching a curated set of Instagram Story Highlights that will spotlight trailblazers and changemakers from the AANHPI community. These stories serve as both real-time inspiration and living archives — lifting up voices whose impact spans generations, industries, and borders.
From static posts to Stories, from portraits to prompts — every piece of this campaign is designed to say, You belong here. Your story matters. And we’re proud to hold space for that truth all month long.
Carrying Culture Forward
AANHPI Heritage Month at Attollo is never just about looking back. It’s about how we move forward — honoring the roots while reaching toward the future. This year, that future is led by scholars, families, alumni, and community members who bring AANHPI excellence to life every day in Lancaster and beyond.
The work of heritage is never finished. But each May, we take the time to reflect, recommit, and redesign the way we tell these stories — with truth, with pride, and with design that mirrors the power of the people behind it.
This month, we invite you to follow along. Engage with our content. Reflect on the legacy. And most importantly, recognize that AANHPI culture isn’t just something we celebrate — it’s something that builds us.
