Program Overview

The Start-Up program helps students discover their potential as entrepreneurs and problem solvers. Using the design thinking process of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test, scholars learn to turn real community needs into creative, practical solutions. Students build skills in teamwork, critical thinking, communication, and project planning while growing in confidence as leaders and innovators. The program culminates in a final pitch night, where scholars present their ideas and compete for a cash prize to help bring their visions to life. By the end of Start-Up, students leave believing in their ability to create meaningful change.
